Dear IFNE Family,
As the summer vacation season approaches, I
hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits.
It has already been six months since we
launched our activities with the new Executive Board at the end of last year.
During this short period, IFNE has been actively involved in numerous hands-on
courses, seminars, and joint congresses worldwide. It brings me immense joy to
see our community so vibrant and dedicated.
In particular, the joint meeting held this past
May in Buenos Aires—incorporating the IFNE Interim Meeting, the GLEN Congress,
and the ISPN Educational Course—was a resounding success. I would like to
extend my deepest gratitude and highest praise to everyone involved, with
special thanks to Professor Sebastian Jaimovich and the local organizing team
in Buenos Aires for their outstanding dedication and hospitality.
We are living in a world currently clouded by
geopolitical instability and shifting tides. Yet, just as a resilient vessel
navigates turbulent waters, the bonds of our IFNE family remain steadfast. No
matter how dark the storm or how complex the challenges ahead, our shared
commitment to neuroendoscopy serves as our collective compass. Together, we
possess the strength and intellect to break through any barrier.
As we head into the summer, I encourage each of
you to take this time to rest, recharge, and replenish your energy. Let us
prepare for the upcoming autumn, which promises to be a rich and inspiring
scientific season.
Lastly, I kindly ask you to reach out to your
colleagues and friends and invite them to join our community. IFNE’s doors are
always open, welcoming new minds from every corner of the world, at any time.
Wishing you all a safe, refreshing, and
wonderful summer.
Warmest regards,
Kenichi Nishiyama, MD, PhD
President, International Federation of
Neuroendoscopy (IFNE)
